We sat down with Kyle Szulborski of First Class Caterers to find out about their business and what sets them apart from other Pittsburgh area caterers.

 

Tell us a little bit about your company, what you do, and how you got started.

We are an inflight & event catering company that is located in Pittsburgh, PA. We opened in 2004 and started out servicing corporate and private jets in the Pittsburgh area. After several years we extended our services to include event catering and corporate events.

 

Are you a full service catering company?

Yes, we are. We service anything from cocktail parties to weddings and bridal showers, as well as inflight catering.

 

How many events do you typically do per year?

We tend to do about 100 events per year and the number has been steadily increasing since we began doing event catering a few years ago.

 

Do you specialize in any specific cuisines?

We do such a wide variety cuisines working with private jets that we can really cater for any type of cuisine. We’ve done everything from Middle Eastern and Asian to BBQ and Mexican foods. We provide a wide range of cuisine options depending on the client’s needs.

 

What are some of your most popular dishes?

Our appetizers and small plates tend to be popular at the cocktail parties that we cater, but we really excel in many different types of cuisines and dishes as well. With our passion for food and talented staff of chefs, we are constantly creating new ways to impress our clients.

 

Can you accommodate dietary restrictions, such as kosher, vegan, etc.?

Yes, we accommodate many different dietary needs and restrictions almost on a daily basis.

 

What do you think people should look for when hiring a catering company?

You should consider the quality of ingredients, service, and presentation being offered by the catering company before you select a caterer. We set ourselves apart from other caterers by our passion for the industry and attention to detail.
