In November 2015, The Frick Pittsburgh unveiled the fruits of its $15 million multi-year renovation and expansion of the Point Breeze campus. This project included an enlargement of the Car and Carriage Museum, the construction of the Grable Visitor Center (which opened in 2014), and the addition of the 1,000 square foot Community Center.

The Community Center

The new Community Center is ideal for entertaining. It includes an adjoining catering kitchen, and it has three areas that can be rented for intimate weddings and special events.

  • The Community Room is an indoor venue that can accommodate 55 guests for a sit down dinner, and up to 125 for a standing cocktail reception.
  • The Community Room Terrace is covered by a roof and faces Homewood Avenue. The terrace is a great space for a bar area with room for low cocktail tables with chairs, and/or tall cocktail tables.
  • The Community Center Courtyard is a beautiful outdoor green space. This space will accommodate tents up to a 40’ x 60’ maximum size. This scenic spot near the center of the site may be used for a wedding ceremony (250 seated guests), a sit down dinner (125 guests), or a cocktail reception (200).

If you’re planning a larger event, the Great Lawn is also available for private events.
