NSummer is officially here and we know that for many people, that means that barbecue season is also officially here. If you’re looking to host a great backyard BBQ this summer, PartySavvy is here to help! We’ve come up with the following 5 tips that will make your backyard BBQ a hit with little effort.

Be Prepared!

One of the best ways to host a successful backyard BBQ is to make sure that you’re prepared. Make a list for yourself ahead of time to ensure that no part of the barbecue planning process gets forgotten or overlooked. Be sure to include things like the number of people you anticipate coming, how much food you’ll need, and any items that you’ll need to purchase or rent beforehand. If you anticipate a large crowd, save money by renting items such as grills, trash cans, or chafing pans rather than buying them.

Protect your guests from the elements.

You’ll want to be sure that your guests have a place to escape the sun at your backyard BBQ. A great to do this is with the use of party canopy tents. Party canopy tents come in various sizes and are easy to transport and install. They can also come in handy if you get some unexpected rain during your backyard barbecue.

Have Plenty of Seating.

Make sure that you have enough space for your guests to sit and relax at your backyard BBQ. An easy and inexpensive way to create extra seating is by renting folding chairs. If you anticipate that little ones will be attending your backyard BBQ, you can also rent children’s chairs to make them feel extra special.

Keep it Fun.

Backyard barbecues are meant to be fun! One way to make sure that all guests are having fun is by having a few timeless summer party games at your barbecue.  Games such as cornhole, volleyball, or horseshoes provide great, casual outdoor entertainment for guests of all ages.

Provide Delicious Food & Refreshing Drinks.

Food is usually the highlight of any great backyard barbecue. Rather than spending hours cooking, throw some meat and vegetables on the grill and whip up a few easy summer party recipes that everyone will be sure to love. You won’t want to be spending the entire BBQ cooking so try to prep as much of the food ahead of time as possible.

Also don’t forget to keep guest hydrated with refreshing beverages such as this delicious punch recipe! If your barbecue guest prefer beer or soda, make sure to have plenty of ice chests, ice tubs, or even a Fill ‘n Chill Table at your backyard barbecue to ensure that those drinks stay nice and cold. And if you’re really looking to make a splash, consider renting sno-cone or frozen drinks machines!
