On Friday, May 2nd, The Women’s Center & Shelter of Greater Pittsburgh celebrated their 40th Anniversary of service to the community with a gala event at The Frick Art & Historical Center in Point Breeze. More than 400 supporters attended the event, which was sponsored by UPMC Health Plan and presented by Diane Holder, President and CEO of UPMC Health Plan. The Honorary Co-Chairs for the evening were Audrey Hillman Fisher and Timothy O. Fisher.

Pittsburgh gala tent rentalThe unseasonably cool weather did not deter anyone from attending the tented event on the Great Lawn, with a view of Clayton, the Frick mansion. Kristin Brown, Development Manager for the Women’s Center, decided not to take any chances with the weather; she worked with PartySavvy to devise a “weather plan” which included the walkway canopies, sidewalls, and heaters that were needed to keep the guests comfortable and assure the success of the event, rain or shine.

It turned out to be a perfect evening, albeit a little cool outside of the tent. There wasn’t a drop of rain at the Frick; guests were able to enjoy the entire property, which is beautiful at this time of the year.

PartySavvy’s staff installed the tents and lighting on Tuesday, and worked to finish the job on Thursday afternoon and Friday morning. Finishing touches were added Friday afternoon by Lendable Linens (all linen rentals), with beautiful floral arrangements by Hens & Chicks, food and beverage service by Rania’s Catering, and Audio Visual Services by Three Rivers Entertainment & Productions.

The success of any event is the result of quality vendors working together, providing top notch products and services; that formula worked well for this event. PartySavvy is proud to have been part of the team.

Congratulations to the Women’s Center & Shelter of Greater Pittsburgh!
