Glitz, gold, and glamour… this September wedding at The Frick Art & Historical Center had it all! The happy couple chose a Great Gatsby wedding theme, and the bride arrived to the ceremony in an antique car from the 1920s. After they said their vows, the newlyweds released white doves from a birdcage that looked like a miniature church by opening up the roof.

The 190 guests enjoyed beautiful weather for the outdoor wedding. Following the 1920s themed cocktail hour and hors d’oeuvres passed by wait staff wearing flapper dresses, the guests moved into the 60’ x 110’ white pole tent for the reception. A 9’ x 40’ entrance canopy lined with lush greenery guided guests into the reception space. The tents featured gorgeous gathered white fabric ceiling liners, center pole drapes, and leg skirts. Sparkling crystal chandeliers of various sizes shed soft light from the ceiling.

The reception décor was inspired by the opulent parties in The Great Gatsby. Behind the head table, an 8’ x 30’ ivy wall was decorated with gold mirrors to reflect the light. Gold sequin table linens and gold Chiavari chairs accented the luxurious white lounge furniture and white tufted bar. A hand lettered chalkboard sign displayed the Signature Cocktails of the night.

The mix of banquet tables, round tables, and high cocktail tables worked perfectly for the space. Pink and white roses with green ivy set off the tall gold candelabra centerpieces. At the center of the tent, the classic off-white wedding cake looked stunning on its gold cake stand with textured linens.

The live band kept everyone entertained, and the 24’ x 24’ white acrylic dance floor was full the entire evening. All of these details added up to a flawless wedding and a great time for everyone involved. Take a look at some of our favorite photos from the event in our gallery below.
